Handcrafted Art Traditions was established as an online gallery and store of folk and traditional arts made by hand in the American West. Many of the artists represented learned their crafts from family or community members or on their own. Some follow traditions from the countries of their ancestors and some work in art forms that have developed in the United States. Like the rest of the population of the West, the artists have diverse cultural traditions.
The Handcrafted Art Traditions online gallery and store has closed, but some of the art work is still available. This site includes the posts that first appeared on the online gallery.
